People!!!!!!
What is wrong with people. I woke up this morning and my car was open along with the trunk. Someone tried to steal my radio out of the car. The keys were in it along with money in the tray. All they did was take the face plate and broke the base. The face plate was in the front yard. What an idiot. Now I will have to lock everything and bring all the keys in the house. My neighber saw my car open and the light on in it and thought I was airing it out(another air head). This world is doomed.

Yes that is always good. It would have been really bad for them. Car is the easy part its just a car. Like you said its whats in the house that matters. My dogs dont like people they dont know and at a 125 pounds I dont think my Great Dane would have been nice.

I have been in that situation and feel your pain. We had someone break a window to steal a $10 portable radio (didn't even have a tape deck). Of course, the window cost over $100. i almost wished that they had taken more just to make replacing the window worth it.

Have a little humor at my expense to amke you feel better. This got me thinking of the times I have been robbed. I just realized that it is ALOT lol I used to live in a bad part of town (I actually knew the names of a couple of the crackheads and regularly got stopped by the cops asking what I was doing in that neighborhood).
I remember the 6th time we got broke into in 8 months, they tried to take the VCR. Don't steal something that you are ignorant about. Evidently, the concept of wires tethering their pirate booty to the much heavier TV befuddled them.
We came home one day to find someone stealing our outdoor table. It was almost worth it to see a guy running down the road with a patio table on his back like a kicking turtle.
We had a little john boat behind the house. One day we forgot to take out our fishing gear. Well that didn't last long. The worst part is that the guy that stole the rods and tackle box WALKED all the way to MARTA (subway) and took the train. Oddly enough one of our neighbors was on the train and come to find out they had the typical "fish biting?" conversation. What cahones to steal fishing gear in the middle of downtown Atlanta since the train really doesn't go to any good fishing holes lol
Of course, we did have a security system. In our infinate wisdom, the hostage code was one number different from the regular code. Needless to say, i hit the wrong number one day and didn't realize it and layed on the couch for a nap. Heavy footsteps on the porch pacing sounded like another burglar. The cops did not appreciate the splitting ax I was wielding. They keep their gun barrels VERY clean, I had a good vantage point to attest to this. This was my dad's house and my primary residence was with my mother 2 hours away. So my ID did nothing to make them believe I lived there. The pictures were all still packed so there was not a photo of me anywhere. What a nightmare from the push of one wrong button.

Yes bad habit leaving my keys in the car. I lived in the country for so long 2miles up on a hill I never took the keys out. I guess a near miss like this will change that.
