What is the longest time you have had a snake?
I know that boas can live 20-25 years in a perfect environment. But I am curious to know how many, if any, have had a snake for this long.
So...What is the longest you have had any one snake in your care? 5 years? 10 years? Maybe you raised a baby through adulthood until it passed 20 years later? I am curious to know.
Thanks!

Well I am somewhat new to keeping snakes. I have only kept a snake for about 2yrs before I had to sell due to some major changes in my life. Now that I am settled and secure I have 5 sankes and plan to keep until they pass due to old age.
I am also curious to see who has cared for thier snake for a long period of time like 10-15+ yrs.

Well I gave ours up when I was pregnant with Lara and I know one of them is alive and well at about 16 years old.
I have a friend who had a ball python from baby to death and she had him for 27 years. He died about 2 years ago.

WOW. Thats impressive. Those are the stories I want to hear!
People bond incredibly with dogs, cats, etc and they live much shorter lives than boas are capable of. I want to hear some of the stories of times shared with our loved ones (snakes) over the years.
Thanks for the replies!
