Snake Tatoos?

I'm going in next week to have some shading added to my tattoo.. and I'm going to bring up a new idea with my artist. I'm thinking about getting a snake somewhere.

Now I'm not 100% sure about what I want. I know it will either be a boa or a python, and I'm thinking it would be cool to have the body of the snake to wrap around my ankle, and the head to end up on either the top or side of my foot. But I was wondering if anyone here had a snake tattoo, any pictures, or any other good ideas.

I don't have any snake tattoos, since I find them kinda trendy (no pun intended.) A lot of them I think really look the same, or very similar. My advice would be to do something different. Get a different kind of snake, something would stand out a little bit. Don't know if you're into hots, but there's some that will sure pop on a tattoo. Another thing to consider is color, or if it will just be black with shading. With black only, patterns would be a bit more difficult to discern over the years. But color needs to be touched up every so often as well. What kind of snakes are you into?

Well, the rattle snake has been done by a guy in TX that has a huge rattler on him, Ive competed in Tattoo contests against him before in the black/grey catagory. Its pretty impressive, I will see If I can find a picture of him from a convention or two.

Haha.. trendy. You could say thats true for some... but I'll only put extremely meaningful things on my body, and snakes are pretty much "up there" on my list.

I have an incredibly talented artist, and the tat will be more "portrait" like. Nothing cartoony... he's great at the whole realism thing. I'll probably have the black and lots of shading done... and if I do add color, it will be moderate, and added later.

I'm thinking of either a BCC (red tail boa), a jungle carpet python, a diamond x jungle carpet python, a burmese python, or maybe a retic. Something that I own, of course... so hots aren't in the picture.

I'm thinking a head shot might be nice too... I found this on webshots:

I like the detail... a JCP head would like nice like that.

I'm still open to suggestions!

i have 2 one with a snake a round a skull and at the top it says got rats. and one with a skull with blood coming out of its head the snake comes down my arm to my hand. it has a cross coming out of it mouth

i don't have any pics...but i'm getting my nickname/screename tatted across my back...and it's letter will be scaled out as if it was an actual snake crawling through my back and the letters are windows...17hrs worth of work
