Seeing those pics brings it all flooding back to me.

The greatest injustice of all that day was that it was not necessary. The loss of innocent life, the pain, the suffering, the sorrow. None of it was necessary. Yet here we are, about to mark the 1 year anniversary of that tragedy.

All those hopes, dreams, loves, lives. Gone in an instant. And for what? Each and every one of those people that died meant something to someone.

Y'all want to know what I remember about 9/11? The tears that I shed for people who just the day before, I did not know nor did I even remotely care about. I've always considered myself to be a hard@ss. But on that day, I realized just how hard I really was. For a reason unbeknownst to me, 9/11 hit me real hard. That day and for several days thereafter, I would just stop and begin to cry. I didn't know why. I just cried. To see just how little life meant to some people really tore me up inside. That day, I was able to finally release some of the anger and hatred I had carried with me for so long. As I realized how petty it really was in light of that horrific tragedy. As well as what that anger and hate could and would lead to. I realized, that I cared. And I realized, that none of our lives would ever be the same again.

We must never forget 9/11. If only as a reminder to us to live our lives to the fullest and to cherish the times we have with our loved ones. And as a stark reminder of just how much anger and hatred destroys. Thank you for listening to me ramble.

its weird because all of these pics bring back memories of where i was when it happened and stuff like that. sad to say the least.
