Well, 9-11 is here once again. I'm trying to see what different sections of the world will be doing for that memorial day. Any thoughts? Do you think there will be another terrorist attack on that day just to show the US that we can't stop terrorism? I for one will be with family. I havent' seen them in a while and is always good to see family. Let me know what do you think....

I will more than likely be asleep considering it's the middle of the week and I work overnight. I think they should declare it a non work day.

my daughter has a special ceremony at school that we will go to...all the kids have been working on assignments...like "what is a hero" (first grade)...they have also been visiting and learning about police, firemen, servicemembers...
They will sing songs...some kids will read aloud their assignments...
I miss my family, but they are all in Germany, so i can't get together with them....but they all have been here in GA this summer and my mom and grandma are coming on Friday the 13th (yeah, i know...lol) for a second time this year.
I myself, have mixed emotions...i want to not worry about anything, but you can't help to be a little "on the edge".
I saw everything live last year....from the very first radio broadcast, to the live tv coverage of the collapse...the people running... everything...i dunno, some pics flash back. I know some people are just tired of hearing about it....i guess maybe just emotionally burned out on it.
But seeing this all....live.....looking like a "movie" but realizing this is real....it left me shaken. They were innocent people, just going about their lives.

I for one will be mourning the loss of the TT and the lives that were lost in the attack on the same note I will be celebrating being divorced for 1 year. No, I don't believe we will be attacked again on the 11th. I think if anything it would be one of the safest days to fly. I think the airports will have plenty of security on the 1-year anniversary. -Juggalo

I'll be working the whole day, but will spend a quiet evening with my wife and pets.
I don't have much family in the U.S as my wife and I moved here from Israel but I know that it's a going to be a day of mourning there.
Coming from a country where we lose innocent lives ,women and children, in suicide bombings on a daily basis, there is a very strong understanding of what this country is going through. There will be a rally in support of the U.S in Tel-Aviv tomorrow night which I know my parents will both be at (they are both from Chicago) and they are expecting half a mil. people to show up.
As to your question, I don't think anything will happen this 9/11.
I served 2 years in the Israeli national guard and 4 more years as a Staff seargent in the Israeli infentry in the west bank and gaza. If I learned one thing about terrorism is that it's 90% psychological. the point is to get you when and where you least expect it. that's what botheres you the most. Also, anniversary's don't mean a thing to them (terrorists) it's about and for "the cause". nothing else.
Just my .02
Hope you get to spend a quiet day with your family... when it comes down to it that's what life is all about. Spending time with our loved ones.
God bless America.
-Sean.

I will show up at work at 7:30 am, the same as last September 11th. The same office, same desk, same phone, and same cubicle surroundings as last year - except for the few comic strips that remind us of that day. And I will hold my breath and pray that my phone doesn't ring, the way it did last year, with my friend Jason on the other end saying, "A plane has hit the World Trade Center. I don't think it was an accident."
I plan to make it through tomorrow, stay close to my loved ones, and remember how lucky we were that my Aunt's office had delayed moving into the WTC.
I do not think that it will happen again, but we can never be certain.
I will spent tomorrow with those I love and hold those I cannot be with close in my heart.

so nobody thinks it will happen again or some form of terrorist attack. I mean just if the terrorist wanted to prove that hey, we can still do it no matter what security you have. all it would take is some woman/child/man to walk down New York ave with explosives attached them and boom. Just a concept. I'm currently in the military, most know that. We kind of have all our ears up per say. We're tracking and took extra precautions just in case. Well, I wish everyone the best and an uneventful day tomorrow.....

I'm not going to say I know for sure there will not be any sort of terrorist attacks. There is still terrorists walking, still recruiting, and probably most definately planning further attacks. I believe we are well aware of this and hopefully, we have prepared for such attacks and that our security is topnotch right now.
