Repel Permanone
So I bought the Repel Permanone at walmart today...everyone is sure that this is safe for my snake...(baby colombian) well, a few months old anyway, as long as I follow the directions given in that old thread...

Follow the directions and you'll be fine. Pull out the water dish, hides, etc. You can just wash those by hand. Pull out the snake, take it in the other room. Spray the cage, cover it, and go wash the water dish, hides, etc. This way you wash your hands too. Now go play with the snake for a while while the tank sits. Let it sit about an hour, then go pull the cover off, and let it air out. Go back to playing with the snake for an hour or so. Then, you're done!

Yes, it works great. Be sure that it's dry and you let the cage air out B4 you place your pet back in...as the thread says.
I've even used it in our BD cage.

And rather than just playing with the snake, soak it in luke warm (cool to the touch) water for an hour, to drown the little bloodsuckers that are on board (Maximize your effort). When you soak, make sure it'd deep enough to cover most of the snake, but the snake needs to be able to rest on the bottom. Don't make it swim the whole time.
So far, the permanone has been a home run for me in my mite fight.

Good suggestion on the soaking while the cage is airing out.
