NC storms
We had some really bad weather today, especially near Wilmington. I hope all our members and their families/pets/property here are OK. If not, let us know what we can do. Shelters don't accept pets, and that's at least one area I bet we can help eachother out with in an emergency.

I know Freakkboy is in Wilmington, he checked in this morning. I hope he checks in later to tell us all is well.
Thoughts and prayers to those in NC.

I'll second that. We just got LOADS of wind and tornadoes in the next county over but we got really lucky.

At least eight people were confirmed dead... 20+ injured (including children)
FOXNews.com has a pretty detailed article on the aftermath of the storms. BTW, Riegelwood is 30 minutes east of me (in the same county)... and 15 minutes west of Freakkboy. Yesterday was a wild ride in our area.
At least eight people were confirmed dead after a tornado tore through a tiny North Carolina town early Thursday as severe thunderstorms battered the southeast for a second day, leaving thousands without power and at least 12 storm-related deaths. 30-40 homes were destroyed. Twelve people are still hospitalized this morning; four of whom are children. A 29 yr old Acme-Delco firefighter is among the dead.
