personally i think that purposefully breeding morphs is like hitler singing country music; it kills appreciation for the breed and appeals to people who have no knowledge or sincere interest and concern for the species.

i dont like morphs and i can see there popularity (especially with boa constrictor sp) disapearing fast, well in the uk anyway, i work in a reptile shop and we no longer deal with morphs of royal pythons (ball pythons) or boas because there is no demand for them, it seems to me that more and more people want locale specific boas, and the only people who ever seem to buy royals are new to the hobbie so they are quite happy with a normal one

There should be a permitting system for the wearing of thongs. And men should have to go through a similar process before wearing a speado. (If you're not in the pool at the Olympics, NO SPEADO for you)

I went to a show and saw a new morph. It was called a Carpongo. Very beautiful but there were thing wrong with it. It looked like a Jungle Carpet but all the black was green and the yellew was white. They said that it could be possible it could never breed. Well that is good but why bother to keep crossing if they are not ment to be.

yeah a GTP crossed with a JCP - beautiful but not natural, but i am a fan of certin morphs ... i don't like the durma ball (i think thats the right spelling) and idk there are some crosses (like hybrids) that i would never own but i really like to look at morps, they are like artwork so are specific locals (like Gus's boas) which are simply stunning. i guess, if it slithers, i like it but you won't catch me paying $10,000 for the newest hybrids or morphs

That is an ignorant thing to say. It does not appeal only to those who have no knowledge or interest for the species. Many people see a beauty in a spider ball python or a clown ball python. It has nothing to do with not appreciating the species or having no respect for it. Many people who own morphs do because they want to show off their animal that no one else has, but there are even more people who keep them for their own personal agenda. I recently purchased two het albinos so I may produce an albino of my own. Why? Because I think they are gorgeous animals. It is not so that I can show off what I have because there are maybe 3 people exlcuding myself and the family that I live with that see my snakes anyway.
