chances shedding ordeal
this is what chance pulled on me. i got home about 10pm last night. 15 minutes later she started shedding. got it off her head immediately like she does. at this point she usually rests  well low and behold she kept rubbing on the drift wood i put in there when she sheds. she got the shed 1/2 way off and then went and rested. i waited till 2 am for her to finish. no go! she wasn't budging. now i will admit she usually does the first half and then like an idiot i finish for her but this time i decided we are gonna try the snake thing...she wanted to be a snake this month so i was gonna let her. so i kind of nudged her to get her moving again. no way in heck was she gonna do the rest herself. but i wasn't budging this time either.
chance you are gonna do it all yourself this time. chance looks at me with raised eyebrows. now i am gonna be strong and i am not giving in. i wait another 1/2 hour and still she is pretending to be in a coma.
so i say to her 'you look like a dork with half your shed still attached to you and the eyecaps sticking up in the air. you look like a snail' for some reason she dont care.
so i tell her i am not doing it, i am going to bed, sit there and look dumb (we really do have these conversations)
so i continued to be strong and not let her win and i went to bed! now remember this is 6 hours of shedding.
so i go to bed. i wake up at 6 am and look at her and she is still in the same spot looking at me!
i tell her 'tuff' and i roll over and go back to sleep.
10 am i wake up and roll over and look at her and there she is still looking at me resembling a snail.
i get up and go to her cage and tell her' if you dont move and finish the shed you dont get to come out'
this is where i was really strong....i left the room and went and made coffee and drank a few cups.
back in the room i go and my snake that i love is a snail and has this expression 
so being the strong snake mommy i am, what do you think i do? i finish the shed for her
but next time she wont win!
so all in all this shed took 14 hours

well the shedding ordeal kept me up half the night. someday whe will not win.

she has a 6x2x2 but kthorpe and her husband is coming to build an 8x3x2. she dont need a tall cage because of the break in her back, she cannot climb at all

well technically she lives in a 1,300 square foot apartment. her tank is just her bedroom.

what i dont understand is her shed comes right off. it dont even take me 2 minutes to get the rest off. all she has to do is crawl and it slides right off. she is a very lazy coughcoughspoiledcoughcough snake.
