who is telling the lie?
http://redtailboa.net/forums/showthread.php?t=27982
or
http://www.petsolutions.com/Captive+...002074-C-.aspx
I think pet solutions is lying about being able to captively breed the Veiled Chameleon because they are out of stock, and sell only a standard size of a full grown chameleon(caught in the wild).
Any comments?
P.S. They have been selling the "captive bred Veiled Chameleon" for quite some time now.

What are you talking about steve? One article is about an Aussie Zoo and another is a pet dealer. Not to mention that veiled chams are not that hard to breed.

I don't see any correlation between the article I posted for Reptile Related News and the petsolutions page -- other than the subject of chameleons. BTW, the news article is referenced with the original link - http://www.bordermail.com.au/news/bm...al/430901.html. So, what's the deal?

THE rare veiled chameleon has bred successfully for the first time in an Australian zoo. Dated - Sep. 20th, 2006.
the pet solutions has been selling "captive bred" for a long time now...
Am I missing something or did I read the article wrong. Is this a first time for THAT specific australia zoo?

They aren't rare and they aren't hard to breed. This is just a case of uneducated reporting.

It is likely that it is the first time that an Australia Zoo has bred them. The zoo is just trying to get some press by presenting an unextradordinary act as extraordinary by careful wording.
