What a day!
Ok everyone I just wanted to let you in on my saturday lol. I left with my brother about 3:30 EDT and went to mow a couple yards. We left from doing that and went over to my grandparents house to pick some greens. When we left there we were going to go over to the local gocart track and watch a few friends race. (This is where the fun begins.) We went by another friends house that has cattle and noticed one was laying in the field having some sort of problems. We turned around and went back to the owners house and told them. They said she was in labor and has been laying out there all day. So we took a rope out there and sure enough she ways having a little cafe. Took us about an hour to get things settled down. The heffer is really old so any help we gave her im sure she loved it. Well her husband came out of the house from taking a shower and he grabbed another rope and come out there. Gene went back to the house to get some gloves so me and Alan was out there pulling on these ropes. Got the cafe to the back hips and started to have some trouble. So thats when my brother came over and started to pull on the rope. 5 minutes later we had a healthy baby cafe laying in front of us. So here I am living in east Tennessee where farming of cows and pigs and what are all to common and this is my first cafe birthing. So Gene and Alan named this little cafe after me. And as payment for coming back and telling them what was going on and for helping them out they gave me a huge cage for my male snake Buddy. Its about 4 foot long 2 foot wide and about 2 1/2 feet tall. The bad thing is its covered in wire mesh. So im about to go down here and take all that mesh off and put wood around the whole thing except for the front and thats going to be plexy glass. So yea that is how my wonderful saturday afternoon went. LOL Thanks for reading this I hope it amused you reading it as much as it did me doing all of that.

I grew up on a ranch here in Texa$ so I've been to alot of calf and foal birthings. It's an awesome experience! Not quite as overwhelming as watching my kids being born but awesome nontheless.
Glad to see you enjoyed it!
What are you to do for Encore Sunday?

Thats about like one of the other heffers they have. Its more like a dog then a cow. Gene took it in because the mom wouldnt take care of it. The cow could be up in the top corner and Gene can yell out her name and that cow would come running. Shes getting ready to give birth in about 4 more days. And as for my encore lol. I think Ill just work on that new cage and get it in here todays. Thanks guys its a blast here on the site. Better then myspace if you ask me LOL Take care!

LOL. They named it Charlie. And to be honest I was scared to death because daddy came over there. This bull was about 6 foot tall from the front shouders to the ground and weighed every bit of 3000 pounds or more. He was huge and right when we got the calf out he came up to me and like licked me as if to say THANKS ALOT! I WAS TIRED OF HER MOOIN SO MUCH! LOL But it was a great time. As for that cage thepeople gave me...its all done except for putting the plexy glass in the front. Talk to you all later
