i hate rust
ok so me and my dad are restoring a 1972 blazer and i have rust duty. he did know about the rust when we got it and he told me i had to get it all ready for body work. so i put it off ill now, i think i have the nicest frame ever. ive sandblasted, and rhino lined, gave it new running gear and everything. so today i started to sand blast off the paint and surfice rust. well the more i went in i sware the rust was growing. so now it looks when i get it done im gonna have alot of bondo and lead to work with. atleast i can say i built it and i will have a really nice car. it has a 350 crate and a turbo 400 trans. it has the original seats all reapolstered. if u ever get a nice old car take out the carpet. carpet is the enemy of all old cars. im rhino lining the inside of this one to keep moister out. ill put some pics up if i find out how
all pics are before the work. r camera got jacked out of the office at my dads work so now i cant get anynew pics.

yah we already had a 72 blazer that was worse then this so all the parts we need we just get off the blue blazer. like the seats are all original in the blue on so we just got it out of that. im about half way through with getting the left side done and ready for bondo and lead.

Well I gotta say I'm a ford guy, but I won't hold it against ya What crate 350 do you have in the car, and what stall speed on the torque converter are you planning on using?

i dont know what stall speed or what engine ill ask my dad. i know that i am getting a skyjacker soft ride 6inch lift with a 2 inch widening kit. i already have ful thrush exhaust on it with the engine in. the engine in the pictures pitched a rod so im rebuilding it in shop class.

It's good to see you're going up with your ride height. While I appreciate a nicely done low-rider as much as the next guy, I've noticed a general trend in reducing your trucks effectiveness by dropping it to the ground. It's all about ground clearance! Leave the lowering to the hot rod guys!!

the most awesome chick came into work the other day...in a CJ7. My boss asked, "Is this a wrangler?" To which she replied, "I would NEVER drive a Wrangler. Its a CJ7!"
she proceeded to tell ME, the mechanic, about how wranglers are junk compared to the old Jeeps! I wanted to marry her right then and there!

what axles will you run in it? A D60/14 BBT combo is common on those vehicles. I know a guy that took one with a D44/D44 combo with a 6 inch lift and lots of cutting and is running 39.5 bias ply IROK's.
I am looking to buy a 92 Jeep YJ with a 360 from a waggoneer, detroit locker in the front, aussie in the rear, with a SOA, 3" suspension lift and 36" IROK's soon. All depends how money is when the guy is ready to sell.
