My first shed :)
Today I came home and Jenna was about 80% finished with her first shed with me! This is exciting. I looked through all of the pieces to make sure that the eye caps came off as well, which they did. This is so neat! She doesn't seem very happy though, are snakes hurting or upset when this is going on? She hasn't been moving at all since I've been home. It's exciting but I still worry since it's our first together...Please let me know what to expect...thanks!!

Mine are usually hungry after a shed. I have only had a problem once with aggression after a shed and that was Wil. I can't say aggressive persay but definately even more vocal then usual and didn't want me getting his shed from him. Usually before a shed when they are cloudy and while shedding they are more nippy because they are more vulnerable.

Thanks for the reply. She has been sooooo good the entire time. She let me take the pieces and help her out of some of it and then she came over and rubbed on my hand As Kirak says "She's a good lady"

That is awesome!I am always very happy to witness all the "firsts" with my snakes! All but 1 of my snakes are always hungry after they shed.Joon always takes a couple of days to become more like herself and to get hungry.

Sorry to throw off your post but I also just had my snake and his first shed.. except I woke up and it was laying in his cage around the water bowl... I got a question tho, can you handle them after they shed? I heard its like having a sunburn after they shed?
