convincing parents

alright. i have some questions. my friend fell in love with leopard geckos and now he really wants one. but he needs some reasons to convince his parents. does anyone have any reasons why a leo is a good pet. hes already done his planning(he picked out a name(oscar) he knows he needs a 20 gal tank, lighting and stuff like that. he is still doing more reaserch so if he can get one he will know how to take care of it. once we get some good reasons on here i will let him read this

i would think that more than anything he would have to prove his ability to be responsible rather than list reasons he should be able to have a pet
the more responsibility he takes, the less parental involvement there will be, and if i had to convince a parent, the first thing i would go with, was they would have no involvement unless they wanted to voluntarily (sp)

my friend is very responsible, he takes good care of his fish tank and his dog. he takes good care of his little bros. he is a well know babysitter in his neighborhood. he helps out his parents. he mows his lawn and im sure he does other things also(and he gets good grades)
