They will readily accept the following food items, Red worms, Night crawlers, small crickets, termites, ant eggs, small millipedes, forest roaches, and salamanders.

Mine love earthworms, some have been known to eat small feeder fish, guppies, rosy red minnows etc. But I have never had one that small, mine are 12" to 14" long.

i would rotate between worms and fish, and with worms get some calcium at like petco and sprinkle some on there. Also if you can get it to eat pinks, that would solve all problems. Thats what i did with my garter.

In my opinion ringnecks are difficult to find in the wild.... and when they're difficult to find, every baby born is needed to continue the species........ so I would let it go if you don't have much of a clue how to care for it, along with letting those catfish go as well. Just buy some petstore catfish.
I don't mean to seem harsh it's just you're all over anything you see, like a tick.

Petstore catfish are prettier in my opinion, depends on what you get. And I don't know if ringnecks are bred in captivity or not... i would imagine so, just rare to find.
