At that point I was buying costumes and embelishing them...I took an older child's cinderella costume (because it was nicer then the 4 year old version)--brought it to the seamstress...had it altered to fit Amanda the used netting to fluff it up...I got the slippers the gloves and acessories seperately. Same with Olivia--I bought it and added stuff to it to make it better. I took an old pair od ballet slippers--sprayed them gold and glued on some beads.
But those pics were from 2002...the kids were so small. I'll post some halloween pics from last year tomorrow on this thread...I have to scan them but they were GREAT!
Olivia was Marie Antionette and had the most gorgeous costume and Amanda was Medusa....I did her hair up with a thousand snakes and everything...Halloween is my favorite holiday. My house is already decorated with a graveyard out in front and everything

I can't wait to see them! The ideas sound great! Colt was the Lone Ranger one year, My Pet Monster the next, a pirate (the best so far I think), and a mobster last year. Here's the pics, I love halloween too!

Yup pirates ROCK!!! In the past I picked out what he was gonna be, but now he's almost 5 so he has an opinion! I can totally sympathize with you Nicole. They do grow up too fast! I just love the pics of the girls though! They are beauties! A little girl to play dress up with would be like heaven for me. But I wouldn't trade my creepy-crawly-lovin, rough and tumble little devil for nothin!

You helped influence that choice didn't you? LOL. Jason (i know stuff about stuff) took him out trick or treating last year dressed as a mobster too. But he held the big black umbrella over him the whole time. Kinda like Colt was the Godfather and Jason was the underboss. They made a cute combo.

They influence me--which is very cool if you think about it
They are Buffy fanantics...so the choice is suitable

Nicole, your girls are so adorable!
Mary, my oldest daughter, went as a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader last year
Honestly she looked like trailer trash LOL, but I wouldnt dream of saying that to her! She had on a blue skirt and white Tshirt she insisted on tying "Like the girls with the Owls on their shirts MOM!" (*cringes like an old prude*)
Elvis year before last, that was a BLAST. I bought a black button up boy's shirt, added a piece of decorative fabric to the collar to make it stand up and out, and made a sequin guitar on the back with TCB on the shirt pocket. I had some black flare leg dance pants I dusted with glitter, which in the dark looked like leather, and added gold rickrack trim down the legs, a wig and glasses, and my guitar, and she was THE KING. lol
SpiderGirl when she was 4...everyone who saw her would say "Look! It's SpiderMan" and she would get royally TICKED and stomp that little foot and point her little finger and say "I AM SPIDA GUUHL!"
Cookie Monster at 5
Ballerina at 3
This year I will get to dress up Serenity..
Not sure what I want her to be, since she doesnt really talk much,
Maybe I'll dress her up as the croc hunter LOL..Now THAT would be cute. She can say "SNAKE" and "SPAZ"(which are lizards lol) She has a stuffed snake and a stuffed alligator (could always let her wrangle the beardie..j/k)

For Dylan's 2nd Halloween, my mother made him a little purple Grateful Dead bear costume. I went as a hippie. Sady, only one person in the rather conservative neighborhood we trick-or-treated in got it. Worth it.

I don't know. I wish I could. I see deadliestformula's pictures. I know they are adorable though, don't even need to see that. My kids are having a blast deciding on costumes this year.
