Have to laugh at this
I just had to share this. PETA sent me an official survey form to help them. Granted is is to try and stop "unnecessary" animal testing, witch I'm not sure if I agree with them. I have a friend who works in a lab testing rats for cancer and diabetes. Five years ago I would have said animal testing was cruel, but after my father was diagnosed with esophagus cancer I don't truly believe those rats lives were wasted because they may have helped save my fathers life.
Now just imagine my surprise when I opened my mail box and saw something in there from PETA. LOL

PETA is the most hypocritical group I have ever encountered. I love animals and do my part to help them whenever I can, but that group is a bunch of misinformed radicals that do more harm than good. I have vented... *deep breaths**

This is hilarious!
I have a lot of friends that are Vegan and Vegetarian, but they have never tried to push what they believe on me. They have, however, helped in some ways as far as finding other alternatives to certain things that I can eat to where I don't need to use, i.e. like eggs or milk in some foods. Instead there are things I can use which doesn't change the taste in the food, it just makes it healthier. I'm not Vegan/Vegetarian but I sure can make some mean Vegan Chocolate Chip Walnut Oatmeal Cookies....mmmm....
It's one thing to have certain beliefs but it's another to force people to believe what they do.

I know tons of people agree with PETA. Tons more disagree. I am personally tired of hearing their name. I agree that humane treatment is a necessity for all creatures. And I do want them doing things to promote that. However I think that humans are at the top of the food chain and If animal testing is necessary to help develop a product that will save a human life then so be it. I do not agree with all of the testing that is done on animals that could be done on lets say............death row inmates. (like allergy testing with mascara shampoo etc.) But I am glad your father is alive now and I hope that the cancer stays in remission/eradicated. And I know if it was my hubby's life or my son's life in the balance I would gladly accept animal testing.
