Looking for a rare....

Hi all-

I am looking for a book, and I was wondering if any of you have it so I can borrow//buy it from you it is out of print and Amazon.com wants 112.50 for it plus shipping. Toooooo expensive for a book. Anyways, the book is "The reproductive husbandry of boas and pythons" it was written by Ross and Marzec in 1990.

Any info on if you know where to find it for under $100 I would love to know, if you own it and want to keep it can I borrow it for a month?? PLEEEAAASSEE I'll return it. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

Hey Trina,

try Sunbaked Serpents for the book. They have it for $45 dollars and the page says that it is new. I have bought two boas from Shawn and he is a GREAT guy. Tell him that I sent you (it won't get you a discount [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]) but he will treat you right (like he does everyone).
If he is out, you may want to check out Ebay. That is where I got mine about six years ago.

Just take what you read in that book with a grain of salt. While it is a very good book ( a copy sits on my bookcase as we speak), much of the information it contains is now outdated.

Most of the outdated info pertains to taxonomy, but there is also some in the individual species accounts. We know so much more about these animals today than we did a decade ago, when Dr. Ross wrote the book.

All in all though, I would consider it to be a wise investment, at any price. Some of the info is old, but most of the content can't be beat.
