Yesterday I flipped an atv going about 15-16mph and crashed into the ground on my shoulder all 300lbs of me, and then the atv landed on top of my knees. After waiting in the E.R. for 6 hours (they don't understand the term emergency) a Doctor came into to tell me that in all likely hood i could have died but other than that I was fine just a minor hyperextension in the knees and a slight seperation in the shoulder. He also claims that if the same accident would have happened to anyone else half my size they would be dealing with lots more serious injuries. Wow! I am really lucky i have read the stats about atvs and deaths and how acident prone they really are but, I am a fairly careful guy (I don't ever try anything I don't have 100% confidence about. It does make me laugh however that i always hurt my self lightly doing dangerous things and severly hurt myself doing the easy stuff. I have played hard contact sports my whole life and at best came out with minor scrapes and sprains, but while playing badminton i broke my ankle and i broke 2 toes and a finger moving but when i was hit by a car i just bruised my ribs I guess i am just lucky. Does any one else have any cool or funny scars stories?

My list of broken bones:

All 10 toes (no, not at the same time)
7 of 10 fingers
various places in both hands
both wrists
base of skull (wear a helmet when playing hockey, even if it is just a friendly with cousins)
both feet (my weather predictors)
right tibia (just a nick, but enough to hook a nerve)
a rib or two

and a pretty good shot to the neck that I never got x-rayed, but took me off my feet for a few weeks.
