I bought a pair of blood pythons from Xtreme Reptiles out of Miami. They were both weak when they arrived. I did the best I could but, they both died within 3 weeks. The owner Alfredo Veloso assured me that he would make this right. This was over 9 months ago. I hate this treatment. I saved for a while to purchase them. I just wanted to pass this along to everyone so hopefully someone else can avoid getting burned.

dang man that sucks.. so there is nothing at all you can do about it? i would threaten to take him to court, usually that'll scare someone enough to get their attention.. Especially if itd be cheaper to pay you back than go to court ya kno?

Hey Rusty...sorry to hear that man. Getting burned is never fun. Have you posted this on the Board of Inquiry? If not go HERE and post a complaint.
This is the major place that people put up their kudo's or complaints about the people that they have bought reptiles from. Sometimes this gets someones attention b/c they want to keep a good name. You should take the time to put up your experience so that you can let as many others know as possible.

Just a couple words of advice if you do post on the Board of inquiry...
1) Post using your full name. I can't stress that enough.

2) Be a bit more detailed in your post there than you were here. In other words, be very specific- post as many details as you can. You said the snakes were "weak"- was this because they were dehydrated, emaciated, etc? Also, was there any correspondence between you and Alfredo during that nine months? Details are paramount- your post here was somewhat vague, and actually left me with more questions than answers.

I'd have to agree with Naja here. Also you really need to place more info on this thread too. You really shouldn't be posting such without as much fact detailing as can be provided either. You have given absolutely no information as to the EXACT condition of the snakes upon receipt, when you first contacted the seller in regards to the snakes and their condition [ copy/paste the emails that were done related to this], what the sellers responce was in regards to your complaint to him regarding the condition of the snakes.
Allthough you have stated that the snakes were in your possession for three weeks before they died.. was the seller notified of their condition prior to that time or was it after they died ? Also... If the seller wasn't notified of any problems prior to 3 weeks and/or within the first couple days once they arrived that there was a problem with the snakes... Most sellers guarantee period has expired at such time.

Please post more information in this thread of the FACTS relative to such a post here on RTB, TYIA.

I guess I'm a little new....I can see where my info was incomplete. O.K. I called immediately upon arrival & told Alfredo that I was very concerned that the snakes were having labored breathing. He assured me that they were in good health & would be o.k. I called again 7 days later when the male died. He told me to do the best I could with the female & he would replace the male as soon as he got some more stock. The female died 10 days later. I contacted him again & was told to stay in touch & he would sell me replacements at his cost. I felt at this time that at least the guy was making an attempt. After callin & e-mailing at least once a week for 6 months only to be told none available. I finally decided "lesson learned".

I am kinda shocked on this post. I have dealt with Alfredo in the past and had an anery bci that I had bought from him not eat and die. He replaced it with no qeustions asked. I would hesitate to say that there is more to this story then you are telling us. I am sorry for your loss but if there is more to the story you need to tell us that. Alfredo is a top notch guy from all the dealling I have had with him and others I have talked to.

This person is commiting a criminal act which is called slander... All his statements are false and I have the proof... I will give him till 6 am est 08/13/02 to post an apology and the truth of the matter... If he does not I will prove him to be a liar and follow up with possible legal action... We have always stood behind every animal we sell and try our best too keep every customer happy...

This thread and this site are NOT going to be turned into your Peeing contest medium.

Rusty,
Put all the info you have over on the BOI, including purchase dates, ship dates, arrival dates, vet papers and info, vet name address and phone/email and any other proof you have for your claim.
It goes to the BOI.

Extreme,
Follow Rusty to the BOI and have all your info ready to dispute and defend with.

If it bears true for either party, then it WILL be decided there on the BOI hwere there are many willing to do the checking of the facts/accusations etc.

P.S., I just looked at the BOI and did NOT find a thread started yet.
I am also about to leave the house for a little bit and upon my return, if there isn't a thread started there, or if another admin/ moderater sees fit, lock this thread temporarily.
There have been postings of this such here in the past and without further inquiry and lack of BOI postings were deemed as flamers and locked with accounts deleted.

Rusty.. I have already posted once to this thread requesting more verifiable information in relation to what you have stated here. Allthough you came and made yet another post.. You failed to provide any documentation such as emails etc in your posting at all. I suggest that you do that at this time !
Allthough posting on the BOI would make more sense in this matter. I also can not find any type of post on there either.

Xtreme... We'll wait on the proof to come forth, but only for so long. If nothing is posted today further in the form of PROOF by Rusty of his claims. The thread will be noted as such and locked down. Also let me point out that you also have failed to provide any PROOF of what you are claiming also in relation to this matter which was posted here. If you have the PROOF then please post it here. What has been done by you is basically name/calling/ and can be interpreted by some as a form of slanderous also....ie your referncing to Rusty as a liar. if your going to make such a statement on this site.. [ b]BACK IT UP PLEASE[/b]. Be the one who goes about this matter in a more professional mannerism by posting the emails that can show what has transpired in this situation.. AT THIS TIME Rusty already placed it into public view and failed to provide things to back up his clain here. So go ahead and show us why his claim is null accourding to you please.
Afterall.. There is always two sides to every claim such as this one. So "enlighten" us here please with what you know to be.
