BW, you found gators in a swamp in South GA? You must be some amazing herper...(I'm just teasing, you know I love you, baby)
Good pics though...I know what you mean about feeling a little too close. We went on an airboat ride earlier this year with a Miccosukee who thought it was cool to grab 10'ers by the tail. I've got certain tolerances for risk, but huge gators less than a foot from my arm exceeds them.

Yeah. Actually I am against this due to numbers not even being known of current population. 50 permits and what if there are only 75 in the state. That will take a huge chunck of the population out if all 50 permits get filled.
