trading snakes????
first of i dont want this to turn into a war. i belong to a lot of snake sites and i have never looked in the trading posts forums. yesterday was the first time i guess i stumbled into a thread from trading posts. i have not stopped thinking about it. i looked on my other sites too. it is common for people to have pet snakes for years and just decide they want to trade them for a new snake. i am shocked. this would never be accepted if it was a pet cat or dog. why is it so common for snakes? are they not a pet like other animals? if someone made a thread they want to trade thier dog in for another one people would be furious. am i missing something here? is it because snakes supousedly dont have emotions for thier owners? but i have read many times that a snake has gone to a new owner and wouldn't eat. what is the deal with this? can someone explain why it is just normal to do this with snakes? dont people get emotionally attached to thier snakes?

i agree with you...you dont LEASE a snake like you do a car, then trade it in for a different one.
good thought Louise.

I, too, am surprised at how quickly people will disown a snake member of the family.
