MUSK stinks! pics inside!

did some playing in the woods today.. found some cool frogs.. and only one snake.. im not 100% but this looks like a Eastern Garter Snake... pretty decent size, looked to be an adult.. i really really need to get a snake hook! he/she musked me very good and couldnt get the smell off for a while haha... this is the first time i've went lookin for any type of reptiles.. it was exciting!

beautiful snake, he/she must not be too skittish for a wild if you managed to get a shot like the last one. grats on finding it.

i held it for quite some time.. i had it by the head for a couple mins.. then i slowly moved me hand down it's body.. it didnt even attempt to strike at me.. i was waiting for it.. it did get a little skittish when i walked back into the woods to release it..

Ive always learned with garters to control 2 parts of them.
1.) Their head
2.) Their tail

After they poop and what not, then you can let them crawl around. By then they seem to think you won't hurt them so they calm down

my garter always musks. i would like to find the guy who dropped it off at my work and left it so i could ring his neck. his cage always smells today i am getting rid of his mulch and he is getting newspaper so i can change his bedding every day. he will only eat worms so his poo is bird poo. i was only gonna keep him till i found him a new home but nobody on the planet wanted a free garter so i am stuck with his stinky butt.
