I wonder if I can post here again without being jumped all over? For those of you who don't know, there were some problems with myself and others on the site, and I leave it at that. I care not to rehash the past. To everyone: Plain and simple, I miss being able to post here. I loved this site and practically lived here for quite a long time. When I joined there were only 60some members, and those members helped me beyond belief. I have tried to go to other sites, but none are the same as RTB. I am by no means kissing butt, just stating the facts. If I had found another site like RTB, I wouldn't be posting here now. IMO, things just got way out of hand. Those who had problems with me, if you care to e-mail me privately, I will do my best to work things out. The last thing I want is a flame war, so please don't start one with me. But when I last visited this site on a regular basis, no one had a problem answering any newbies questions unless they openly displayed they were doing things irresponsibly and not willing to change. Please keep in mind, this is just what I know from when I last visited the site. I sure hope it hasn't changed THAT much??? I'm sure I'm missing something???

We are here to help you and everyone else out as good as we can.
The biggest thing we really get on anyone about is making ludicrous claims, and yanking our chains about certain things, such as 7 foot ball pythons etc.

As far as BoaBabe I think we are all pretty much adults here. I came in on the tail end of it hitting the fan so I'm not up on all of it. I would say post away. The past has been dicussed enough lets get on with life.

I don't recall anyone ever asking you to go away Rachel. The whole thing here that got out of hand was that you were stepping on toes to get to free adoptions so you could turn around and adopt them back out for a fee...even asking people who wanted them to pick them up for you and bring them to you so you could hand them back out. YOU were only asked to chill out on all that. Noone said go away. Many of us here will still do anything we can to block you from getting any adoptions that we can do anything about until you grow a moral. Until then, ask away...post away. What any of us think about you good or bad has nothing to do with how we care if your animals are doing ok...so by all means...please post away.

I have to agree with everyone else. I don't believe anyone has actively been banned from RTB, but if you go out of your way to make yourself annoying, rude, or obviously ignorant to other people - its awful hard to get any respect. Everyone else just needs to remember that when you see a post that you don't like, you don't have to respond. =)

Well everyone, thank you for responding in such a nice manner. No, I wasn't banned, just tired of being attacked. Whether or not it's believed, I still stand by my word that I was not trying to &quot;step on anyone's toes&quot;. I was simply trying to make someone's trip shorter by giving one less stop to make. It only takes me 20 minutes to get to work, but if I have 15 stops to make along the way, it could take me hours. Either way, I'm sorry about the whole situation, and would just like to move on. I surely don't know everything, but I do my best, and that's better than doing nothing, IMO. As far as making money off of adoptions, I have bills from Rodent Supplier's and Airborne to show I surely don't make a profit. I've actually cut back on the amount of reptiles taken in simply because I can't afford it. It's sad, but many are being referred to other rescues and santuararies, and some are just stuck. By returning here, I hope to be able to give more people needing to find homes for their reptiles a place to look. Thanks everyone, and let's see how things roll...

I for one would be happy to see you come back. That whole thing was a cluster f@#$k. I know the emoitions of people got high. I think BB has some good points to add to the forums and would be a great addition the the info on rtb. As for isak feel free to ask any Questions here on rtb, but if it was something like the thread of the ribbon snake please take the advice and not make such a commotion about it. Some may ??? your ability, some may not do not let the advice and or critcism offend like it did in that thread. If you are honestly thinking about keeping reptiles this is the place to get those ???? answered. they may be a hard answer but they are doing it for the snakes safety. amazing....in one breath you say you can't afford to take any more in....in the next you state that you hope by coming back you can provide a place for more reptile adoptions...contradiction? BB...if you see an adoption that you want and feel you can care for it...and keep it..get it...by all means. But you are providing NO service to anyone or any animal by adopting animals from forums like this just to adopt back out again. All you are is a middleman...errr person and that is not what they need. You are just adding to the stress and in many cases prolonging the medical treatment needed by some of these animals. Fine homes can be found for these animals through these forums without being brokered through you or anyone else. What you are trying to do could work IF you could lay off trying to collect animals from the forums that someone could adopt that actually wants them. Keep checking with shelters and vets and be happy that sometimes there are many months that your service is not needed....sometimes no news is good news.

I don't search out animals. As you know, I have a website. Many people view that website and contact me. Many times I can't take them in because of reasons stated above. SO how exactly does that work? Do you just refer someone you have an application on to the people with the animal or do you actually bring the animal in and then deal it back out ? Somehow I doubt you have ever just refered someone over to an adoption elsewhere. You couldn't even make yourself do that with Lori who was at the same time as you activlely trying to adopt some for her collection/educational program...it was more important for you to get them first than for them to get to a good home...My point is...if someone took the time and effort to post them on one of these forums...let them handle it...let someone looking for the animals get them on their own. These forums work well by themselves. Noone needs you to be their broker.
