Hi,
Well this is a first, hehe
the one thing about Guppies is the PH of the water I believe the ideal ph is 7.0 to 7.2 most guppies die from the water becoming acetic due to over feeding and the nitrigen cycle that occurs due to Poo in the water and urine from the fish this feeds the areboic bacteria in the filters and drives the ph down,,, the best buffer is a couple tea spoons of fresh crushed oyster shells, (that salt water tank gravel) I use this to buffer all my tanks ph. Ive had some species of ciclids for 7 -8 years many are 10 in .
Another thing is be sure to use adequate declorinator when you change the water at least 10 % of the water weekly , and add a good marine salt of one tsp per gallon.
psps what are you gonna do with the hundreds of guppies you gonna have in a couple weeks.
hehe doug
My friend in florida raises breeder guppies in plastic 30
gal garbage cans he has about 20 garbage cans in one warm room with air stones ..
they be real easy to breed as long as you buffer the PH and do partial water changes weekly
good luck
