For the Savvy Shoppers Out There...
I (based on another post) decided to give americanrodent.com a try. I placed my order today, and they will ship on Tuesday and arrive on Thursday. They are currently offering free shipping on $100 or more with a $7.50 per box charge. They have specials on most mice and weaned and small rats. Otherwise they are pretty much comparable to both RodentPro and Big Cheese (with the exception of shipping!!!!).
From their website:
"We offer only top quality feeder animals that have been raised on scientifically formulated nutritionally complete diets, euthanized with CO2, and flash frozen. All rodents are either vacuum-packed or sealed in 4-ml plastic bags to maintain quality and freshness. Our products are shipped on dry ice in insulated boxes and guaranteed to arrive frozen."
I figured that I was going to spend about the same at either RodentPro, or else I was going to try Big Cheese, but with the free shipping, I thought I could get more rat for my $$ and I did. I think I spent about $130 and got 125 weaned rats, 15 large and 3 super jumbo, whereas I would have gotten 75 weaned rats, 4XXL rats and 6 XL rats from Rodent Pro for $125 or 100 weaned rats, 4 jumbo rats and 15 large rats from Big Cheese for $155.
So basically, I spent $5 more than I would have at RodentPro and got 58 more rats (weaned rats, but still....5 , and I spent $25 less than I would have at Big Cheese and got 24 MORE rats.
Just wanted to make everyone aware of another option

Just to help clear up any confusion (although I thought that savvy was still a word that was frequently used...)
From Dictionary.com:
sav·vy ( P ) Pronunciation Key (sv) Informal
adj. sav·vi·er, sav·vi·est
Well informed and perceptive; shrewd

Megan,
We can't all be old! The word is a good word. A common word. I reject the notion that my vocabulary is showing my age! : )

lol my girlfriend is always "screwing" off with me because I use words I consider quite normal vocabulary. She gets even more irritated when i correct her when she uses words inccorectly. Like when people say sarcastic and inform them the proper word to use is facitous because sarcasm only works with an ironic situation.

You got the sarcastic part right....but you misspelled "facetious"
I found it quite "ironic" that you misspelled the word you use to "inform" and "correct" people.
