What's happening around my yard.
Well we have new beginings all around. Finally get some new roses to blooming and this already......
On the good side of it I've got a family starting on my front porch. Momma has been busy.
Soooooo, this means absolutely no pesticides. I wouldn't anyway because of the spiders but I'm dreading the soap and water sprays all day long.

looks great. it is so nice and peaceful to live around stuff like that. just get up in the morning and grab a cup of coffee and just go outside.

I love living here. I just noticed the japanese beetles this afternoon. I'll be sitting out there all day long now with my spray bottle and bucket of soapy water to squash those buggers. I'm kicked off the porch though. I've made a little sitting area on the walkway to sit at with my coffee and ciggies. I don't want to distract the birds.

Looks like one of the kids took a hole-punch to your roses. 
And where did the hair for the next come from? 
Seriously, the nest looks pretty cool. What kind of birds are making their home on your porch?
This is inspirational. I just got my E5700 camera back from Nikon today. Maybe I can take some pics of the wildlife at my home ( not including the kids, me or my wife, that is) and post them.

Kids are about as wild as they get. All kinds of wildlife around here.
The hair is from my dog Summer I'm willing to bet. I have lizards that like her hair too. They are house finches. Here are the parents of the babies that just took off from the nest across the street.
And the babies.

Got a picture of momma nesting. It was from inside so I wouldn't bother her for a while. I think she is getting used to me though because she didn't fly when she caught me in the window.
