rodentpro sweet rats
I buy my rats from rodentpro and most of my snakes have never had anything other than rodentpro rats, well I run out of one size so I went to the pet store (they raise there own, very clean set up) anyways I got 10 over priced rats for my salmons, so I thaw two out and feed them so they just sat there and looked at them and they have always been very good eaters never refused a meal, four hours later still 2 inches from rats and nothing so decide to get the tongs and wiggle them, one I just touched the rat and she nailed it the other one I picked up to wiggle it and bam she nails it anyone ever have this happen to them??

The only time I have ever had to do the dance is when I had to switch from live to f/t or mice to rats. and now this time LOL

I haven't had a similar situation of switching from rodentpro to another source, but have had to do the rat dance depending on the snake. My Carpet Python has no issues, just have to make sure to put the rat in front of her face so she doesn't come after me instead. She definitely knows what the feed tote means.
My BCI is a lost cause now. If my wife REALLY wants to watch then I'll do the rat dance for him but it takes 5 minutes of doing that for him to actually tag it. I usually just put it in his feed tote with him and cover it all with a towel and come back 1/2 hour later to put him in his cage.

Mystery likes the rat dance, and will respond faster usually. WHAM!!!
My Snow Corn snake however, I cant move the mouse or she pulls a Chance and tucks tail and slithers off into the hide..CRAZY..
If I place the prey just outside her hide door, she will poke her lil head out and delicately grab it and slowly drag it back into the hide..
So prissy!
