I had to ship in a package to the testing department of how I would ship the snakes with everything inside expect the snake then they test it to make sure it can withstand a certain amount od force then they will send you the results back then call your acct. rep they get into with the legal department and they ship you forms to fill out send them back and your done pretty much you sign away all your rights to them when you sign that paper

It helps if you contact your area representive. This person can assist you in all the steps needed. And yes, you do need an account first.
There is a form to fill out and send in with the test package. It is located here. Setup the box exactly the way it should be when shipping a snake (including the taped up delicup or tied up bag... we used a toy snake, lol). After the box is tested you will receive a test/evaluation report.
Once your package passes testing you will then receive a waiver to sign. After that is done and in their files, as well as yours, you will be notified you can start shipping.
It's real nice to be able to ship reliably and conform to the Lacey Act
