lost and found
my RTB disappeared sometime last night and I located him this afternoon, hiding beneath a pile of cold weather gear. Good thing, too, a. I was worried about him, and b. I spent all day wondering if I would be able to find him, and c. my roommate was completely freaked over the idea of a snake loose in the house

I'm glad you found him so quick! I lost one for 19 days and just about given up hope...three days after turning everything off in his tank and deciding that I'm the worst snake-owner in the world...he shows up on top of his own tank...hungry, but healthy! Less than 24 hours is a miracle!

It took me about a week to find my corn. After completely ransacking my entire house I finally found her in a hallway when I got up to use the restroom one night.

in fairness, i keep the snakes in my bedroom, and the door is always shut. he's too big to get underneath, so i knew he had to be in there somewhere.

dude, you left everything running in his tank for 16 days with nothing inside??
why? hoping to attract him to his tank?? LOL looks like it was repelling him...cuz as soon as you turned it off...there he was!
glad all you guys found your snakes.
btw, how did you lose your snake? did he escape, or did you snooze during playtime?

When I first had HuggyBear, my female Ball Python, She got out and I found her after 20mins of looking, she went behind the fridge..
Then, I had Copper (another BP) and Huggy Bear, and I rescued 2 large RTBs from an animal park, where they were kept with no food, heat or water...Dont get me going..
Anways I had to put the tanks all close together since I only had one XL heat mat at the time (this was before I found this site, and learned about IBD) So I had 4 tanks all side by side with one XL heat pad and 3 heat lamps aimed just so...I forgot to put the granite slab back on top of the ball python tank..
and BOTH copper and huggy got out...this was in our new place, and we found Copper immediately under the couch, and Huggy was in the kitchen, stretched across the window sill, on her way to the fridge...LOL (shes like me, in that respect)
LMAO@ your signature Slithers...HAHAHA What possessed you to do that? LOL Thats a scary scary thought!
