ARKANSAS TROPHY HUNTERS...Show in Fayetteville..cant believe this crap

This is such Hogwash...no pun intended..
This weekend or next is the Arkansas Trophy Hunters thing...its a bunch of rednecks showing off their dead animals..
Well apparently THIS year they are holding it at the U of A campus track field..and they are going ot have a Rattlesnake pit with a mini roundup of some sort.
The mini roundup isnt listed on the site, but it was advertized on the radio station...
The irony of all this..Western Diamondbacks are endangered in Ark..But these guys are allowed to promote hunting and capturing/killing them Thats Arkansas logic for you..

They are claiming its for educational purposes..What praytell is educational about promoting this type of thing at a TROPHY HUNTER event? Unless you are promoting HUNTING the snakes?

Don't have a problem with the trophy hunters thing, do have a problem with the rattlesnake part.

I love snakes, and my daughter will have some chores that involve our collection when she is older, but she will NEVER free hand a rattlesnake while I am alive. I can't believe that picture with the little boy, if he wants to make an exhibit of himself, that is fine, but he stepped over a line handing a venomous animal to a child in my opinion.. I hate when you can see headlines coming that will damage snakes reputations...again *sigh*

Yep I really am not anti hunting of deer etc..Deer are the rodents of Texas..they are EVERYWHERE. I think hunting is ok as long as the animal is not being eradicated..or in limited numbers..But the whole rattlesnake thing ALONG with a HUNTING EXPO is just not a good combo..plus Did you look at the pics on Texassnakeman's site?? Hes in a bathtub with a bunch of live rattlers, holding them in his MOUTH..etc its pathetic.

yeah i looked at it, and just as an observation, stupid hurts...maybe not right away, but eventually. like i said, i do have a problem with the rattlesnake bit, that's just nuts
