Talking to your snakes
Now this is not something I do often, unless they are pressed up against my neck to feel the vibrations, but my husband is famous for it. Last night for example he was looking at the butthead rainbow trying to eat a mouse from the middle and goes in his most gentle fatherly voice "No, turn it around, let go, turn it around"
Me sitting on the floor playing anchor for the snake tail looks at him and goes "he can't hear you yanno" to receive the most evil *duh I know that* looks
So do you talk to your deaf critters?

I'm terrible about it. Wil likes to escape from his feeding tub really quick when I go to put the rat in there and sometimes it takes 3-4 hands that I just don't have so I try yelling at him "No, Wil, get your butt back in there. Come on now, IN". He never listens though. Same thing trying to get Casey back in her cage without smashing her head in.
BTW--On the topic of the other post, it would be under 3800.00 to fly me and my whole bunch out there to visit. Start laying out the cots. LOL.

I talk to all my other animals but then they have ears and could hear me, I only ever talk to the snakes when I'm holding them and I know the vibrations are getting through.
Errrm not to hijack my own thread but Pork 6 warnings? what's going on?

every morning when i wake up i go and talk to each snake. i also tell them good night each night.
the scarey part is sometimes i talk for them! i have made up voices for each of them!
chance always gets the same two and her voice is a kid voice
if she is on the warm side i say in her voice 'i warm like a worm' also i sing in her voice 'i'm so fat, i'm so fat etc...
the guyana haas a stuck up voice 'must i share a room with these common boas'
juliasqueezer has a sassy teenager voice 'it's my way or the highway'
poor peanut the BP has a im kind of dumb voice 'which way did he go'
i also tell chance at least 5 times a day ' i love it to much' |

sweet or crazy?
my daughter sneaks up on me and stands in the doorway and laughs! the best one ever was...it was real cold outside and i was just babbling away to my snakes and not even thinking about what i was saying and i asked one of them 'do you want the mother to make it a cup of hot cocoa' i really didnt even realize i said it till my daughter came in the room and fell on my bed laughing till tears came out of her eyes!
