Has anyone used Northwest Airlines to ship snakes?

What where your experiences with it? Are they better than Delta? I can't seem to find a straight price on their website? So what would hte average shipment cost?
Do you have to be a verified shipper?

Any responses would be appreciated.

The last time I shipped a snake (legally [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img] ) you did have to be a verified shipper, which basically means that you had to ship a lot of things with them prior to 9-11. otherwise you have to go through a independant shipping company, which ended up being somthing like $450-$500. it was a larger snake that had to go in a crate (anthing over 4 feet must be in a crate equal to it's size) but I think I got ripped off (a whole different story). however, I'm not sure if I was lied to about this, so do a lot of research, and tell us what you find out [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] -Juggalo

Think it is this one that i use for airline shipping. I'll check and let ya know if it's them or not....

While Northwest is a very reliable carrier, they can also charge a bit much. I personally prefer to use USAir. As early as October of last year, they were accepting live cargo from unknown/unverified shippers.
