ipod and other mp3 players
I'm looking to get an mp3 player for my birthday and assume many of you have one or more....What do you have and how do you like it.
Right now I'm kinda split between the ipod nano and the Creative Zen Nano Plus.
The ipod nano is tiny which is the main attraction for me to that one, but the Zen Nano has an fm tuner too which is what sets it apart for me.
Any info you guys have would be appreciated.

I bought the Ipod nano for my niece and after playing with it (actually said I was showing her the features of the thing) I bought one for myself. The main thing which sold me was the small size of it and the ease of use.

Besides your hate for apple, do you have some particular likes about the Creative zen? Oh and which one? Zen Micro or Zen ______?

I have the regular iPod (not the Nano) I think it's 20GB. I got it because I travel a lot and I wanted something for on the plane and at the treadmill. I also have the accessory that allows you to listen to it in the car. I got it before the nano came out, but I think I still would have stuck with the regular iPod because it is not as small (which is one of the main reasons everyone likes the nano.) The selling point for me (between the iPod mini and the iPod was price and space. I could have gotten a 6GB iPod mini for $250 or a 20GB iPod for $300. I also like to listen to audio books and I figured I would be better off with more space

i have a color 20 GB ipod... i don't like ipod, back then i was stupid enough to buy it... battery dies within a year and a half, you have to pay like a 100 to turn in your dead ipod, and they'll give you a 'new one' ... only thing good about the ipod, is the turn wheel thing. that's it.
look at the sony 20 GB, it holds as much, but it has 40 something battelry life, with REMOVABLE batteries so all you gotta do is just go out and buy the batteries

I see what you're saying about maybe not needing the FM tuner if I have all my music on the mp3 player. But I do like to follow sports games on the sports radio when I'm out and about, but I guess I'm usually in my car at those times so....
I'm leaning toward the Nano or regular ipod now. Thanks for the input guys.
