I work at bestbuy, in the department that sells mp3 players. I can honestly say the majority we sell are ipods. The funny thing is, they suck. You can't go wrong with a creative or an Iriver.

Care to back that up with some solid info? Sounds a lot like opinion but I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say if you have some backing for your statement.

I Love Nike shoes and think that Reeboks suck, but other people swear by them and I know they're good shoes. I just think they suck. See what I'm saying?

The return rate on ipods is a lot higher than any other mp3 we sell. The screen gets scratched very easily, and apple has even been sued for it. Everything with ipods are considered add-ons, even the freakin wall charger. They are extremely over priced, and limit what your able to do with their product. For example, you can't take songs out of a ipod to your computer, basically you can not use it as a storage device. In fact, some even complain that when connecting their ipods to a different computer, it erases all the songs in your ipod. another example is that you can only use their software to download with, Itunes. Its a overly hyped, overly priced, piece of crappp that is more likely to freeze, not charge, or skip rather than give you pleasure. iriver, creative or samsung, not only make better mp3 players, but their more reliable, flexible, and have more features than apple's piece of junk. The reason apple is soo successful, is because they advertise a lot and bombard you with silly excessories for it . Most people think there is only one kind of mp3 player, ipods. You wouldnt believe how willing people are to dish out, 200-500 dollars for something, based on what I tell them, or what they see on tv. Then there is people who just wanna be like everybody else, so they get the ipod. Hope that helps a little.

creative zen with a wireless fm transmitter for in the car is da bomb works great never had a problem. I purchase alot of products from creative and they are a great company all around. and why not trust the company that makes the best sound card to make the best mp3 player. this is just my opinion i could be wrong : )

I personally wont support the Creative series of MP3 players since they "Accidently" Included a worm in the installation software and it got out into the public. I say iPod if you have the money, if not find a good used Rio if you can, maybe find one new if you look around although the company went under
