interview #1
oh man, cross your fingers guys. i went to the garbage man job, and it sounds good. i almost fell out of my chair when he told me how much it pays. its salary, $105/day. a day is considered 6 hrs, so if i were to finish my route in 6 hrs, i get paid for 8. he said if i do the math, it comes to around $15/hr! it gets better. it comes with full benefits!!!!!!!!!!! medical, eye, and dental!. im think i have a good chance with this place. they sent me to get a physical and drug test, which only makes me believe their at least seriously thinking about me hiring. there is 11 spots available. and i guess the union they are part of is threatening to strike, so he said i could hear from him as early as sunday or monday. he also assured me that if i get hired due to them striking, when they went off strike i would not be fired because of it. i really hope i get this job.

Sounds like a congrats is in order. No way are they going to pay for a physical and screening without wanting to hire you. That's my theory at least. Full benefits!!!! Horray!!!!

I think that Heidi is right... they prob wouldn't send you for a phy. & screening if they weren't seriously thinking of hireing you. I do hope a congrats are in order. with benefits as well that's great!

You're snakes will be living large in no time. It does feel good to work for a living. I go crazy sometimes trying to keep my job and sometimes feel like it just gets in the way of my life but I am so lucky to have a job where I can raise my kids and work at the same time. I do not take for granted that I have the best of both worlds.

Way to go Rex! Maybe you'll have to start looking for a mini farmette to rent and start raising rabbits to feed to the snakes! Gotta have a freezer too ya know!
I hope this works out for you!
