Farah Fawcett and other stars and PS
Ok I have been checking out Bad Plastic Sugery.com and I'm noticing people are getting dissed for:
a) having bad PS
b) having not enough PS
c) having too much ps even if it's good
What is the acceptable thing then? Grow old with no PS and look great with nothing? Come on now...is anyone in Hollywood not cut to pieces?
Take Farrah---she is said to have bad PS---but what would she look like if she had none? Isn't sh like 60 or somthing?
Or Robert Redford---he is being ragged on because he hasn't had enough....can we make up our minds??
or
Sarah Jessica Parker---she is said to hav had a nos job....? Can someone show me what they took off?
What is everyone's thoughts on ps?

What ever floats your boat is my attitude. Just as long as they don't end up like that chick who wanted to look like a barbie doll. A little nip here and a tuck there isn't going to really be over doing it, but when you line up some 20 or more surgeries that is just a bit too much.

She looks like the doctor used her as a punching bag instead of doing surgery on her. Tell me she didn't go out to actually look like that!!

I think that you have to be happy with yourself. If you aren't and you can't live with it, and can afford to do so, go for it!
*Edited to add: I just looked at the link, and I suppose that if she is happy with everything she's had done, then so be it, she's the one that's got to look at herself in the mirror...

I figure it's their body and they should be able to do what they want. I've never been a big proponant of telling people what to do with their body.
The thing about having too much, not enough, or the wrong kind is all about sensationalism Nicole. It's not really about what the "right" amount is, it's about making something that is not news worthy (IMO), news worthy.

Ps
Plastic surgery is a God-send for people with disfiguring injury or debilitating deformity..
.
The obsession that otherwise normal people have to get this is a sign of lack of self-image and a society bloated on excess.. Come on.. look at the people in the world without access to life-saving medicine and surgical procedures and we spend billions on the right nose, or eyes or whatever. Nuts.
.
IMHO

I think if you want a face lft---(my sister in law had an excellent one) or a nose job (if you have a huge nose that you hate or have fracturd your nose) or need surgery after loosing weight...breast therapy after having children....all that I really support.
I also support any person who has been disfigured and needs something done to help them look thier old selves again.
What I don't support and have problems with are people who :
1) use liposuction to loose weight...it doesn't work and is just a bad choice for anyone.
2) Someone like the cat woman in NY or Michael Jackson who just turnd into freaks...who is to blame? I'm thinking the docs have 50% in these cases.
They are moved by cash...not their patient's best interest or their mental needs.
I also have a problem with the media coming down on stars for everything they do and do not do---it gets to the point where it's just a witch hunt IMO.
