last night...
Well I was cleaning out cages last night and noticed one of my baby colombians
bci had a really fat looking lower lip... First thought was WTF?! I get it out as quick as possible and look it over... There are no bumbs and it doesn't seem really swollen; the snake didn't act like it hurt when you touched it. I checked inside it's mouth just in case... nothing. Then after examining the mouth further the snake acted like it jaw had been stretched and the muscles were still on the wack. So I was like hmmm... And the skin around the throught seemed huge and really stretched... Now I was confused again... I couldn't think of anything it could have tried to eat...
Well now, that it wasn't something life threatening and just a stretched out mouth I proceded to clean out the cage... I reached in the cage and grabbed the t-shirt that was playing the part of hide (I use these all the time and the snakes seem to enjoy them) and it was all slimey! And I was all "ACK!"
The snake had decided to take a go at a t-shirt! It'd started at a sleeve and got a good deal of it down... (for a month old snake)
It seems as if I had caught the little bugger just after it realized it was a pointless effort...
I was really concerned that maybe it might regurge the hopper mouse it ate the day before but it seems to have kept it down and all is normal and well with it today.
Now I will admit that I feed in the cage but I actually feed on the other side of the cage where the space is empty... So if anything it should have tried to eat the paper towel substrate but it was not so.....
Silly snake! I love it even more now though...
So does this make good material to tell my grand-kids when I get older?
lol
Sorry about the long pointless post... Just relaying the lastest to ya

I'll post pictures of it later on tonight.
Happy herping.
