anyone have a dvd burner?
If so what do you think? I'm getting a new comp with a burner and was wondering if they have made improvements since I looked at them 5 years ago

It has come a long way. But so has the encoding of regular DVD's. My first recorder I could copy DVD's all day long without an issue. Now I am lucky to find one I can record. As for presetation materials and such it is a god send. I can copy a presentation to disk and send it out to customers and not have to visit them. Plus with the new regulations coming out in my industry it has helped a great deal. No more forgetting a small detail as long as I burn it to disk, and trust me with all this metering stuff it has really saved my tail more times than I care to admit.

Not sure how exactly you do it to the computer. But the first DVD burner I got was one phillips put out. You could hook up your regular DVD player to it and burn away. Now there is some encoding on the DVD's to stop that. But you know Hollywood can't afford to loose any money because they have to pay those big stars much money to be in a film. Heck half those big stars didn't even finish high school..

Ares is good... i have downloaded about 25 movies and 50 30 minute tv shows
about 5 dont work.
I just leave mine on overnight if i am downloading a movie... sometimes it takes 2 or 3 days.
