Motorcycle Thread
Ok I see a few car threads, where's the bikers here?
I'll be the first.
I have a 2005 Yamaha V-Star Custom.
I know there is more of you who ride.

Rode as in past tense. Present time I don't have a bike. I sold my last bike back in late 2003 and haven't gotten another one since. I do know one thing I did learn from my past one though. No more "kit bikes". Too hard to register in the state and get insurance on without an MSO.

Here is some pics of mine. I am making a bunch of custom parts for it over this winter. It's not so much of a Yamaha anymore lol.

My brother wrecked his bike a few years back. I'll ask him for the pictures. It split his helmet in the front where he hit the car. Ouch, walked with a cane for a few weeks after. Hospital in Arizona was nice he said

Ok lets turn this around a bit. What bike would you get if you could?
Me I like American Iron Horse Texas Choppers and the LSC (except it is a hard tail). But the stock 124 ci S&S engines leave something to be desired. So I think I would throw the warrenty out the window and have Kendall build me something better engine wise. That guy is a genius with engines.

it was a 883, but i sent it to D&S Custom performance, where they punched it out to a 1250, then ported heads, cams, 12.5 compression, and some other goodies.. the motor is built to run a 50 horsepower shot of No2 ,but i havnt put it on yet.. with spray it should be in the 10's if i can keep the front end down.. its scary

OMGosh, you are my IDOL! I want a one!!!! My girl has a black and yellow Suzuki Savage, and I'm getting my motorcycle licence this summer pending proper healing of a back injury. The first time I sat on a V-Star I absolutely fell head over heels. She was all white, chromed out, white leather saddlebags... all chrome accessories... just to DIE for!!! *drool*
