Has any one ever had a problem with FedEx?
I was curious as to if anyone has ever had an animal killed in shipment by FedEx. I was doing alot of interstate driving thepast 7 months and have seen an very unnerving amount of FedEx trucks either flipped over in the ditch, broken down on the side of the road, or driving like the guy is about 2/3 thru a bottle of Jack. Ive only had one experiance with receiving a reptile trhu them, luckily with possitive results. Was just curious.

Didn't have a reptile die, but had one arrive late. The guy shipping it to me said he was gonna ship on a Thursday, I asked him to wait until Monday since if anything went wrong on Friday the snake would be stuck somewhere until Monday. He agreed, then Thursday afternoon sent me a tracking number. I stayed home from classes on Friday and it never showed up. By midnight friday it had finally made it to Salt Lake. I called Fed Ex and they said I could drive up to their facilities on Saturday morning to get it as long as I had ID and proof of address. I drove up there and they said it wasn't there, but had been shipped to Provo (my town) so I went to the hub here and got. Cold snake, but luckily alive and well.

I need to add that the truck truned over in the ditch was missing most of its roof and had packages spread all over the median.

I had 2 out of 3 racks arrived smashed by fedex last summer. One rack took almost 2 weeks to get. They lost it but then found it. I had several problems with them shipping our servers all over the country overnight when I was a contractor working for the government and they were NOOOO help trying to find them. They all arrived but some took a week to get. Man being a civilian meant I was getting treated like crap by the real employee's. I would never use them for animals.

A couple years ago FedEx delivered pet supplies to me at 9pm at night! AT NIGHT!?!
I had bad luck once last February when a guy from ReptileAuction.com shipped me a ball python and packaged her so carelessly...FedEx didn't get her to my house until about 1pm and it was a next-day ship.... she wasn't snug and packed nicely with newspaper in the box at all.. the box was too big, and she was just put in a pillow case with one small heat pack and some styrofoam p-nuts and the styrofoam insulation wasn't good enough, and the weather was high 20s to low 30s... I thought she was dead when I first got her, she was ice cold (along with the heat pack) and stiff, but not like a board...so that kinda gave me a clue that she may still have been alive. I still had hope and I just held her against me so she could gradually warm up and after about 20 minutes she slowly flicked her tongue... wow, I was so relieved that she was still alive. I totally chewed that guy out for his carelessness. I don't exactly remember his name at the moment... And once she got completely warmed up, she was as good as anything and never had any health problems, and she's still doing great for me now. I had another ball python shipped to me that same cold week and she came to me packaged great and was nice and warm when she came, so I know the other guy was careless.
