Whoever told me snakes would be addictive there 110% correct!
I am considering adding a third snake to the collection....
Does anyone have any opinions on the Rainbow Boas?
Any reason why one would choose one type, such as a Brazilian our Argentinian, over the other?
Last question, can anyone give me the names of REPUTABLE breeders that I could possibly buy one from. I hav ecome acros s plenty of breeders and shops online, but dont know them from anyone else. So I was hoping to get a recommendation from someone for a breeder that they have used.
Thank you all for all the information that is available here on this site/forum!

I haven't met many snakes I didn't like, so I can't do much for you as far as telling you why you should get this and not that, or vice versa, but -- we have a female brazilian rainbow, about 13 months old now and somewhere in excess of 3 feet. She's a very, very sweet snake -- slow, unbelievably docile, pretty much the most trustworthy snake I've handled. She's very pretty (obviously), and aside from the need to monitor humidity and mist the cage regularly, I'd describe her care as extremely easy. These are some of the good things about her. As far as drawbacks -- and you might not consider this one -- this snake spends an amazing percentage of her time hiding, buried deep in substrate. She's about as invisible as a sand boa. So, she doesn't have the 'display animal' properties of a boa constrictor or many other species. She has been coming out a little bit more regularly as she's gotten older and bigger, and perhaps she'll continue to become more bold as she nears adulthood. All in all, though, she is a very shy creature. Anyway -- we like our brb. Jeff Clark has very attractive breeder stock, and an excellent reputation -- maybe you could look into whether he has any animals available. Good luck.

i would highly recomend a Brazilian Red Rainbow boa they are beautiful animals. And i have had no problems with biting or agressive behevior. The only that is kind of tricky is keeping the humidity high. Humidity needs to be set at about 85% on one side of the cage and 75%-80% on the other and temperatures can not excede 85F. Temps over 85F can kill baby Rainbow Boas.
