Top 5 Bands
What is everyones top five favourite bands around here? Just something to talk about. Give a few reasons why you liek them, if you have seen them live or not. Ok here are mine....
1. Tool, all talented musicians, very different, Maynard has the best voice around in new rock it is so unique and good. Drummer is definatly one of the top in the world awesome rhythms.
2. Audioslave, Chris cornell has another good voice. Tom Morello is definatly the best guitar player around these days, and their bassist has a good style kinda mixing rock and jazz aswell as funk with a good slap technique.
3. A Perfect Circle, Maynard's voice again.
4. Coldplay, the dude has a good voice and they are nice and mellow something to listen to and relax.
5. Oasis, yet another good voice. Lots of catchy songs and definatly wrote one of the best love songs ever wonderwall.
I have seen Audioslave and A Perfect Circle live. I had Coldplay tickets for the show they are playing at the Air Canada Centre in march but i am now goin to Italy and France so i had to sell'em. Was going to see Oasis but they play a few days before Coldplay while im in Venice so can't. I hope Tool releases their new album soon for a summer tour. Anyway everyone else list their favourite bands.

Ok dating myself here.
1. KISS Got to admit they started it all a long time ago. Went through a lot of changes. And still manage to be the greatest band on earth with one of the best live shows out there.
2. White Zombie. Rob Cummings (Zombie) is a genius. Awsome live show. Added plus Sean Yseult AKA Shauna Reynolds is a great artist and pretty hot also.
3. KORN. One great band with another must see live tag.
4. TESLA. Also known as "The thinking man's band". Lyric's which span a wide range of topics from political to every day life.
5. The Rolling Stones. Time tested and mother approved. They have been around forever (and rumor has it Keith Richards can survive a nuclear attack due to "pickeling" his body with all the chemicals). Plus it is pretty amazing seeing all these old guys run around and play.

What makes gene simmons hot (other then the fact he is a virgo and probably very sexy in more then one way)...is his ambition, and ability to make money through sheer brains. He is an excellent business man. There is not one apsect of his career, life or history that he is not making money on. He controls everything and he single handly (IMO annyway) brought kiss from a crap nothing band---to what it became.
If you hate Kiss--you would still love the book Kiss and Tell...he goes into his philosophy on marriage and life---and believe me he's interesting.
And last but not least we have that famous tongue

my list changes.only slots 1 & 2 are always the same
1-Slayer.almighty kings of metal.and Kerry King keeps snakes.there are none higher.
2-Fear Factory and Pantera tied here.if you've heard them, you know why
3-Strapping Young Lad.Devin Townsend is musical genius
4-Devil Driver-the best of the newer metal bands coming out nowadays.true metal; no emo or nu or rap mess.strictly metal.
5-hard to say.i would put Lynyrd Skynyrd here because i'm a southern boy.but tied with them are
Down
In Flames
Chimaira
Swift (local boys)
Sepultura (old)
Machine Head (the band.not that whiny bushy song)
Clutch (awesome live)
Slipknot (those drums are heavy.no literally they weigh bout 400lbs.)
a true music fan can't make a favorites list.i've seen Tool 5 times and love em but wether their favorite or not depends on how long they take to make another g@#$%^&*! record.
and the best love song Maynard is the new Strapping Young Lad called "love"
Evil Dead fans will appreciate the video.

Eh, I really don't get into all the details with the bands and such, and as of right now these are my favorite top 5, but I figure my #1 right now will always stay #1.
1. Nightwish -- Band originated in Finland. Great metal music without a heavy guy's voice if you're into listening to metal but don't feel like listening to a chronic voice. Totally better than Evanescence, Nightwish outdoes them completely 100%.... wonderful opera singer voice with metal, it's totally amazing and makes the hair stand up on the back of my head. Best band ever in my life. The lyrics and music are just awesome, and one thing I love about them is every song is different, nothing sounds the same.
2. Ozzy Osbourne
3. Judas Priest
4. Megadeth
5. Nine Inch Nails

And Gene is a really great guy any way you put it. Some call him cocky, but he earned that right to act that way.
