Mouse sets house ablaze
Hope this link works. An 81 year old man threw a mouse into a burning pile of leaves. The mouse ran into the house, and everything in the house was destroyed...

I read that on Yahoo News as well... I find it hard to believe. Only because hair burns fast, and that would be the only thing burning on the mouse. For hair to smolder or flat out flame long enough to set the house on fire is pretty far out there.
But if its true, that would really bite.

I agree, Toker...unless it was a kangaroo mouse with a pouch full of burning leaves I wonder if the guy just wanted the house gone for some reason, and made the story up.

Insurance? That serves him right for trying to kill a mouse by fire.

Now if he dumped gas all over and the mouse ran into it, sure the *mouse* would cause the fire
I agree Pork Chops, IF it did go down the way he said, the mouse did get the final say

It baloney. The guy has completely changed his story a couple of times now, so probably the truth will never be known unless the insurance company suspects arson and wants an investigation.
