those are probiotics (oposite of antibiotics) Sometimes an animal loses the gut flora (beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract) due to regurg, overheating, stress, other illnesses or overfeeding. It will gradually replentish usually on it's own but sometimes it's good to squirt a little down the gullet and help them along. It's not however a good idea to put them through the stress if it's not needed. If they are not feeding or they are feeding but bloating/puking or otherwise can't properly digest, this could be a lifesaver...if indeed that's all that is wrong. You can get it in small tubes at petco in the bird section. Other pet suppliers also carry it. I get it here from a large avian store in a large syringe with a dial stopper in 1cc increments.
