accurate measurement?

ok...so about a month or so ago i got my first snake...a columbian rtb, she is doing great...but, i cant get an accurate measurment of her. i see people put that their snakes are like 45 1/2 inches...i try to gently stretch her out but still i cant get a good measurement of her, what are some of yalls ways that you measure your snakes...id like to be able to know pretty exactly how big she is so i can see how she is growing?

Use a piece of yarn and lay it on her or next to and then measure the string. There is a progarm somewhere that you use a digital photo with something for size comarison and it automatically judges the length. Maybe more complicated than you want so the string is simpler
