How often do you catch your snake drinking?

I think that is the funniest thing ever, and nobody ever seems to see it. I've caught Giovanni (my boa) drinking about 4 or 5 times since we've had him... the latest I was just sitting in front of the tank watching him and he didn't care at all. Usually, I've seen them start drinking and if they see you they'll stop.

I've only ever seen any other snake drink once an that one was at night with a red light on. I think it's awesome.

Anywho, how often do you guys see them drink?

I never even see mine in his water. I have a humid hide over the heating pad with papertowels in th bottom and about 1" of water. That is his water bowl and he loves it. I take a rubbermaid of appropriate size and cut a hole for the snake to enter about 1" abouve the bottom of the tub. Put the lid on and put it in. There is like 100% humidity in the hide while the rest has only like 29-30%. Se loves it and it stays at about 85-90 degrees> have a regulat water bowl in there and 2 other hides.

I rarely see Dante in his water dish. I think he goes to it mostly at night. He drank a lot when we first got him, then it kind of tapered off.

I see at least one of mine everytime I change their water. I guess they are picky that way. They want a good drink before they go soaking in it.

I use to worry once upon a time that I never saw my snakes drink! Infact I think alot of people do to start with.
Thing is tho mine always drank in the middle of the night as they do there laps of the viv. I was over the moon when I first saw em drink
