it looks like something i would pull out of my freezer to feed my snake.....if roseanne or michael moore had a child i think it would resemble that large, balding, malnourished rat.... that actually is quite cool

Well, it did live 14 years, so it probably had a nice full life. The cataract probably wasn't fun, but if it could see it should have been mobile.
Of course I have occasionally considered getting a sphynx cat. http://www.i-pets.com/blog/hairless_cat.jpg
