Hmmmm...well I usually know mines hungry when he comes really active, he tends to stay most of the time in his hide, and when it's food time he comes roaming around...and when I open the enclosure he always pops his head and part of his body out of the hide and comes for an escape attempt (lol) I usually feed mine around then... and he's never refused yet.
