My ball, Reaper is getting too big for a 10 gallon tank and i was asking around checking for prices and seeing how much work i would have to do to get a 20 gallon. I found them from 42 down to 24. 24 dollars at the wal mart and 42 at the pet specialty shop. Then my dad was talking to a relative that works at pet co or some place. Welll her discount for working there is 1 dollar a gallon so it will be 30 for a 30 gallon. . Thats not all she has a coupon that is 20 % off so i am getting a 30 gallon for 24$! I know others of you get them for that price right?

Same here!
I have bought only one tank in the last few. And I am looking at 4 extra ones at the moment, they were free also.

Same here, people keep giving me tanks... also, you'll be amazed at what you can find in yard sales!!! Bought a 125 gallon tank, that's a 6' long tank with a stand for 50$
Anyway, even your local pet stores (not Petco, they are very pricey and I'm banning them for their treatment of animals) sell 20's for 21.99 and 30's for 30-40...
You can always find a good deal, just take your time.

Ya, yard sales are great. My 40 Gallon Critter cage I got for $5 and they normally sell for around $90.

I am in the process of moving everybody up.
Chica will get a custom built enclosure, 6 feet long by 2 by 2. Her 40G tank goes to Angus, his 20G long tank goes one of the Royals. Mambo is already on a 20G long. I will still have 2 royals on 10Gs, but we are getting there...
I am also moving back to the house in September (the divorce, I get the house), which has my "Florida Sunroom" in the back. Then I will have space for larger enclosures for the rest.
I agree that when looking for the tank, is best to shop around. $1/G seems like a good price most of the time. I have more of a problem sometimes with the screen top/cover.
